Senior officials from the United Nations visited Gedo region to assess the humanitarian conditions.
The officials were from various UN agencies.
These included the World Food Programme (WFP), UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
They were in Dollow, a town in the Gedo region, on April 12.
Thousands of local residents are grappling with famine and possible starvation due to the effects of the ongoing drought in Somalia.
