A Senior Advisor in the United States Department of State visited the new Somali Prime Minister.
Carla Benini visited Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre in Mogadishu on July 3 for discussions on wide-ranging issues.
The priority in their discussions was the need for strengthening relations between the US and Somalia.
Benini and Prime Minister Barre also spoke about reviving the East African country’s economy.
During the Sunday meeting in Somalia’s capital, the two leaders discussed security, prosperity, and governance as well.
