During the raid, the soldiers killed 17 militants.
A report by army radio indicates that jihadists of Tanzanian and Syrian origins were part of the 17 militants killed in Sunday’s raid.
The forces attacked the Al-Shabaab extremists at their base in Lower Shabelle’s Sablale region.
