Several were reportedly killed when Al-Shabaab fighters attacked a Somali National Army (SNA) base in Mogadishu.
The attack, carried out on Saturday dawn, left tens of people dead.
Those killed during the brazen terror attack included soldiers. Al-Shabaab also lost its fighters in the shocking incident.
According to sources, Al-Shabaab launched the daring attack at Busley, a village found to the south of Mogadishu.
Al-Shabaab said that its fighters killed more than 50 government soldiers in the attack.
It claimed that its fighters took possession of several military weapons and vehicles from the government side.
However, there has been no independent confirmation.
