Several people were reported injured on Tuesday morning when Al-Shabaab fighters raided the offices of the local government in Bal’ad town.
According to local residents, members of the Al-Qaeda linked group entered the town today morning.
The militants seemed more intent on attacking the offices of the local government in the town.
Additionally, the extremists raided several key locations where they left tons of explosives behind.
Later, security forces arrived at the town, which they recaptured from the ill-intentioned members of the militia group.
Currently, the security forces are in the process of removing all the explosives left behind.
The exact number of casualties remains unknown though residents reported heavy gunfight that lasted several minutes.
