Around six Somali soldiers, including First Lieutenant Mahad Osman Salaad, were injured in a roadside blast that targeted their convoy in the Hawo Abdi settlement, just outside Mogadishu, on Sunday morning.
The injured soldiers are currently receiving treatment at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital.
General Asad Osman, the chief of the Somali Police Force, visited them to express solidarity and assure them of full support during their recovery.
This incident underscores the ongoing security challenges in Somalia, where roadside explosions and attacks targeting security forces are unfortunately common.
The Somali government continues its efforts to combat such threats and ensure the safety of its citizens and security personnel.
