SHF Allocated $28 Million to Priority Needs in Somalia from April-June 2024

The Somalia Humanitarian Fund (SHF) allocated $28 million to address priority needs in Somalia from April to June 2024.

SHF revealed this in its latest quarterly newsletter, which was published on July 18.

In the report, SHF stated that it divided the funds into two tranches.

The first one of $3 million was allocated to anticipatory action reserve while the remaining $25 million went into the 2024 SHF Standard Allocation.

SHF targeted five locations in the second tranche.

These were Galkayo, Kismayo, Baidoa, Banadir, and Wajid.

This funding aims to support critical humanitarian efforts and provide essential aid to those in need across the country.
