SIDA and EU Hailed for Equipping Somali Youth with Entrepreneurial Skills

Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and European Union (EU) have been praised for their role in equipping Somali youth with entrepreneurial skills.

A consortium of seven non-governmental organizations (NGOs), meeting as SomRep, commended SIDA and EU for their role in youths uplifting.

SomRep is a consortium that features World Vision, Oxfam, DRC, ADRA, CARE, COOPI, and AAH.

On February 9, it recognized the contributions made by EU and SIDA in ensuring that Somali youth have access to banking and inputs needed to be productive.

SomRep works closely with several organizations to inspire youths to embrace entrepreneurship.

Lately, it has been cooperating with Shaqodoon Organization, yet another NGO that is committed to lifting Somali youths out of poverty.
