Six militants were captured during an ongoing military operation in Mogadishu. The militants were captured on March 19.
Military sources confirmed the seizure of the militants in the nation’s capital.
Apparently, the military launched an operation following recent increase in improvised explosive device (IED) attacks in the capital city.
Furthermore, army officers burned several detention centers run by Al-Shabaab in the region to the ground.
Afterward, the officers managed to release several prisoners who were being detained at the detention centers.
Military officers captured small firearms in the process too.
These included AK47 rifles and tons of ammunition.
