Somali National Army (SNA) and the European Union (EU) military are to work closely together to combat terrorism in Somalia.
The two sides announced these plans on March 9.
The announcement followed a meeting between General Odawa Yusuf Rageh and Brigadier General Roberto Viglietta.
General Rageh is the SNA Commander while Brig. Gen. Viglietta serves as the new head of the EU Training Mission (EUTM) in Somalia.
During Wednesday’s discussions, they agreed to strengthen cooperation to fight terrorism.
Lately, Somalia has witnessed a huge increase in terror-related activities.
