A joint operation by the Somali National Army (SNA) and Jubbaland regional forces led to the complete destruction of Al-Shabaab bases in Lower Jubba.
SNA’s Danab unit joined their colleagues from Jubbaland’s regional forces to undertake the operation on Wednesday.
Specifically, the forces centered their operation in areas such as Sariiraha, and Barjala. They also moved to Orgiyow and Dharkayn-urur.
As of the time of going to press, there had been no confirmation on the number of casualties from either the military or militants.
