Somali National Army (SNA) troops conducted a military operation in Baidoa City, Bay Region and captured several senior Al-Shabaab chiefs.
Military sources revealed that the latest operation in the region netted an Al-Shabaab intelligence chief and the person in charge of finances for the militia group.
General Mohamed Sheikh, the Commander of the 60th Division of SNA, confirmed this latest development to members of the media.
The military is yet to reveal the identities of the militants arrested in the latest operation, though.
