Government troops have liberated a Lower Jubba village.
Prior to Sunday’s successful military operation, Qunbi village had been in the tight grip of the dreaded Al-Shabaab terrorists.
However, Somali National Army (SNA) mounted a successful offensive against the terrorists.
In the process, SNA killed and injured several militants. Consequently, the army took over control of the area.
Authorities are yet to provide further details on the number of casualties on both sides.
