Gen. Odowa Yusuf Rageh, the Chief of Somali National Army (SNA) has traveled to Galmudug to hold talks with military officers in the area.
The meeting is to take place at Dhusamareb.
Attending the meeting will be Maj. Masud Mohamed Warsame, who is the leader of the 15th Brigade.
Gen. Bashir Abshir Gedi, who is the new Police Commander of Galmudug State, is also expected at the meeting.
The meeting will have two items on the agenda. General security will dominate the talks before the security officials discuss strategies for defeating Al-Shabaab.
Gen. Odowa has already visited various military camps in the region to witness the kind of preparation that military troops are putting in for a proper offensive against Al-Shabaab.
