Somalia’s Chief of Defence Forces, Major General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhiyidin, along with US military officials, recently visited army bases in central Somalia.
These bases are key locations where government troops are actively engaged in combat against Al-Shabaab militants.
The United States provides critical support to the Somali Army, particularly to its elite commandos known as DANAB, by offering training, logistical support, and military supplies.
This collaboration aims to enhance the operational effectiveness of Somali forces in their ongoing fight against terrorism and instability in the region.
