SNA Commander Injured in Last Week’s IED Attack Dies

A Somali National Army (SNA) commander who was injured in last week’s Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack has lost his life.

Major Mohamed Dhere was airlifted to Mogadishu for further treatment for serious injuries sustained in last week’s IED attack.

However, military sources revealed that he succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical attention in a Mogadishu hospital.

Maj. Dhere sustained his injuries when suspected Al-Shabaab terrorists attacked him in Bardhere, Gedo on January 12.
