Somali National Army (SNA) commandos captured six Al-Shabaab militants during an operation in Lower Shabelle.
The commandos, who were from SNA’s Danaab Special Forces, captured the militants on Monday, June 6.
Military sources indicated that the militants were arrested while mounting a roadblock near Lower Shabelle’s Toratorow town.
At the time, the militants were extorting money from local residents.
The militants are currently in police custody awaiting to be charged in court.
