The military operation by Somali National Army (SNA) in Mahas district against Al-Shabaab militants entered another day on Monday.
SNA soldiers in Mahas, a district in Hiiraan region, carried out yet another successful operation against the militants.
Corpses of Al-Shabaab militants killed during the operation remained scattered on the ground for much of the day.
The federal government, in conjunction with local authorities, has vowed not to relent in the fight against terrorists.
Al-Shabaab has always maintained a strong presence in central Somalia. In Mahas, it has an organized operation that continues to cause mayhem in security matters.
