The Somali National Army (SNA) killed 76 Al-Shabaab terrorists in Mudug.
SNA troops were in Mudug, a region in central Somalia, launching the operation when they encountered the terrorists.
The operation, which ended on Monday, had started on Sunday.
SNA forces worked closely with international partners to make the counterterrorism operation effective and successful.
Several terrorists were injured in the offensive too.
According to Brig. Gen. Ibrahim Sheikh Muhiydin, those killed in the operation included senior Al-Shabaab leaders.
