Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers killed more than 200 Al-Shabaab terrorists in an operation in Middle Shabelle.
Reports from the region indicate that SNA conducted a military operation in Iji, a village in Middle Shabelle, HirShabelle state.
The operation, which kicked off on Wednesday, lasted the next 24 hours.
Four Al-Shabaab ringleaders in the region were killed in the operation. They included Salad Mohamud Siyad and Hussein Dhere.
Yusuf Ali Sheikh and Sandhere also lost their lives in the operation.
Local militia and international forces joined the Somali government troops in the successful operation.
