The Somali National Army (SNA) has liberated a number of areas in the Mudug region from the grip of the Al-Shabaab militants.
SNA worked closely with its allies to liberate the areas.
Jointly with Galmudug state troops and the local community, the army recaptured areas such as Barag Mohamed Daoud from the terrorists.
Lt. Col. Abdi Salad, in his capacity as the Commander of the 21st Division, confirmed the success of the operation.
Lately, the allies have benefited from air support from the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM).
