Military officers in Bakool neutralized the terrorists during an operation undertaken in Makiney village on Friday.
Soldiers seized several weapons during the operation.
A statement from the Ministry of Defense called the operation a massive victory in the ongoing fight against Al-Shabaab terrorists in Southwest State.
The defense ministry added that the military would now shift its attention to districts.
The areas surrounding Bakool would benefit from increased attention by the military too.
