OGADISHU – The Somali National Army (SNA) successfully executed a planned security operation in the Ceel-Cilaan area of the Gedo region, resulting in the elimination of five insurgents.
Operation Details
The mission took place approximately 30 kilometers east of Bardheere town. Military officials confirmed that the strike targeted specific militant positions and command posts. These staging grounds had been used by combatants to coordinate raids and systematically harass local inhabitants.
The SNA commanders reiterated their primary focus on shielding residents from armed factions that threaten public order. Following the operation, military leadership appealed to the public to maintain a close collaboration with security personnel to preserve the tactical advances achieved in the region.
