Somali National Army (SNA) has ramped up counterterrorism operations in Mudug.
Working closely with Galmudug Dervish and a number of local defense forces, the military intensified the offensives against Al-Shabaab in the Mudug region.
Forgot commandos were fully involved in the Thursday operations.
They were successful in reclaiming territories from Al-Shabaab and enhancing security in Mudug.
The Ministry of Defense confirmed the success of the operations that mostly took place in Buurta-Gaadi.
