Somali National Army (SNA) has recaptured a village that has been under the tight control of Al-Shabaab terrorists for ages.
SNA forces worked closely with the local community to recapture the Jaw village during an operation carried out on Monday, September 19.
Jaw village is roughly 55kms to the east of Guri’el town in Galgadud.
The village is strategically placed between Guri-el and El-bur towns. On Sunday, SNA soldiers removed landmines from the road between these two towns.
