Somali National Army (SNA) has received military equipment from the European Union (EU).
SNA received the equipment today.
While handing over the equipment, the EU stated that they are for the ongoing counterterrorism efforts.
SNA is scheduled to assume all security responsibilities from December 2024.
The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) will leave the country next year.
