The Somali National Army (SNA) repelled an attack planned by Al-Shabaab militants in Owsweyne on Saturday.
Military officers successfully repelled the attack in a joint operation with the local community.
Apparently, the terrorists planned to launch an attack at Owsweyne, which had recently been liberated from their grip.
SNA were able to repel the attack based on the prior intelligence that they had received on the plans by Al-Shabaab militants.
Military personnel destroyed vehicles laden with explosives too.
Currently, the clashes pitting the military against Al-Shabaab fighters are yet to stop.
