A Somali National Army (SNA) soldier lost his life during an attack at a police station in Guriel on Thursday.
The soldier was killed when armed militia attacked the police station while attempting to rescue some of their colleagues.
Police had arrested and detained some of the armed militants earlier.
Their colleagues didn’t take this kindly.
According to several sources, as many as four inmates used the opportunity to escape from detention during the armed ambush.
The identity of the dead soldier hasn’t been released yet.
