Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers destroyed Al-Shabaab hideouts in several villages in Lower Shabelle.
The soldiers destroyed the hideouts on November 5.
According to sources, the military officers encountered the hideouts while carrying out a security operation in Darasalam and Tawakal villages.
The two villages are in Awdhigle District.
The operation and destruction of hideouts took place in the early hours of Friday morning.
DANAB, a unit comprising elite SNA soldiers, carried out the operation.
