Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers killed 34 Al-Shabaab fighters in three regional states.
A statement from military sources indicates that the terrorists were killed in security operations carried out in the regions in two weeks.
The many operations in Jubbaland, HirShabelle, and Southwest allowed security agents to destroy 12 Al-Shabaab hideouts too.
SNA soldiers have been carrying out the operations in different parts of the country to smoke out the militants.
Al-Shabaab militants have regularly caused insecurity through deadly attacks around the country.
