The Somali National Army (SNA) has taken control of three villages that have been under Al-Shabaab rule.
SNA carried out an operation on Monday, September 5 to recapture the villages.
The villages in question, which are all in the Buloburte district, were listed as Emoy, Dhagahyale, and Kilad-Gubadley.
During the operation, security forces also seized boats used by militants to cross the nearby river.
