Somali National Army (SNA) troops killed 10 Al-Shabaab militants during an operation carried out in Jubbaland.
Security sources revealed that the operation took place in the Jubbaland town of Jamame on March 8.
SNA troops worked closely with Jubbaland Security Forces in the operation.
During the operation, the security forces also captured six other Al-Shabaab operatives. Among these were top commanders.
Jamame is not far from the port city of Kismayo.
Tuesday’s operations focused on Jamame town and its environs.
