Somali National Army (SNA) troops killed 50 Al-Shabaab militants in an operation undertaken in Lower Jubba.
The militants died in ongoing operations by the military and other partners in the region.
Abdirahman y Al-Adala, the Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, confirmed these developments in an interview with state media.
According to Al-Adala, the military arrested 20 other militants in the operations.
