Somali National Army (SNA) troops killed several Al-Shabaab militants in Lower Shabelle on February 18.
SNA forces carried out a security operation in the Lower Shabelle region.
During the operation, SNA officers encountered Al-Shabaab militants along the road running from Qoryooley to Janale.
General Odowaa Yusuf Rage, SNA’s Commander, confirmed the incident during an interview with Shabelle Media Network.
In his interview, General Rage confirmed that Danab Special Forces killed several extremists.
The exact number of the militants or government forces killed or injured in the operation is yet to be confirmed.
