SNA Troops Neutralize a Suicide Bomber in Mogadishu

Somali National Army (SNA) troops successfully neutralized a suicide bomber in the nation’s capital.

The bomber had attempted to attack the 77 Military Barracks along Industrial Road in Mogadishu on Monday morning.

However, security forces responded quickly and effectively to the threat.

According to the Ministry of Defense, security personnel stopped the lone suicide bomber just outside the entrance of the barracks.

Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attempted suicide bombing attack.

Although the government reiterated that nobody was injured in the attack, Al-Shabaab claimed that an explosion occurred killing seven soldiers and injuring 26 others.
