Somali National Army (SNA) troops removed landmines that Al-Shabaab terrorists buried along a road in the regional state of Galmudug.
SNA forces removed the improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the road running between two towns – Guri’el and El-Bur.
The government troops were in the region on Sunday, September 18.
They received reports regarding the presence of IEDs on the road and immediately brought in their bomb experts to remove the landmines.
SNA has deployed its troops in the region for the ongoing fight against Al-Shabaab terrorists. Local communities are working closely with the troops in the operations.
