Somali National Army (SNA) troops have been encouraged to consolidate the gains made against Al-Shabaab around the country.
Gen. Ibrahim Sheikh Muhiyadin, the Chief of Defense Forces, made this call on Monday.
He spoke while meeting several members of the country’s military.
The Chief of Defense Forces said the military cannot afford to be lackluster or rest on their laurels as the war against terrorism goes a notch higher.
He said this as the country concludes the first phase of counterterrorism operations and prepares for the launch of the second round.
