The Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF) launched an operation in the early hours of Tuesday in the southern Mudug region, targeting terrorist elements.
According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Defence, the troops successfully neutralized 10 terrorists and destroyed several hideouts near the Qeycad village.
This operation was part of ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorist threats in the area and strengthen security.
The defense ministry emphasized that the forces remain vigilant in pursuing and dismantling militant networks operating in the region.
