The Somali National Bureau of Statistics (SNBS) sent it’s representatives to a technical workshop in South Africa.
The SNBS team participated in a three-day technical workshop on population data and estimations in humanitarian settings, held in Johannesburg.
Their presence at the workshop highlights a significant effort to improve data handling in crisis situations in Somalia.
The key outcomes from this workshop include the development of enhanced data interoperability standards.
These standards are designed to better support humanitarian responses and post-crisis recovery efforts, ensuring that accurate and timely population data is available for effective decision-making during emergencies.
