The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) has acquired a new fleet of vehicles for its emergency operations.
SODMA officials unveiled the two Toyota Hilux vehicles in a brief ceremony held at their Mogadishu headquarters on Sunday.
According to SODMA Commissioner Mahamuud Moallim, the vehicles are a donation from the World Bank and the Somalia Crisis Recovery Project (SCRP).
Commissioner Moallim added that the vehicles would play a significant role in enabling the organization to continue providing essential services too.
