The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) has appointed a committee to lead the country in dealing with the effects of El Nino.
Weather experts expect El Nino to hit the Horn of Africa region in the next three months.
El Nino is expected to run from October to November.
To this effect, Commissioner Mahamuud Moallim chaired a meeting of SODMA that settled on a committee of six people.
The six will prepare the country to handle the upcoming disaster associated with El Nino.
