Mogadishu, Somalia – The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mahamuud Moallin Abdulle, received a senior delegation from Plan International, headed by Regional Director for the Middle East, Eastern Africa, and Southern Africa, Ms. Angela Muriithi.
In their meeting at SoDMA headquarters, the parties addressed projections for the approaching drought, deepening collaboration between the organizations, and bolstering early warning systems alongside community rapid response capabilities.
They also committed to speeding up readiness actions, refining information exchange and early warning distribution, and crafting proposals to widen their collaboration in alignment with national disaster management goals.
The sides underscored the value of solidifying their strategic partnership to manage crises efficiently and foster joint efforts.
