It seems the situation between Somalia and Ethiopia is becoming increasingly tense, especially with recent statements from the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) chief, Mahamuud Moalim.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Commissioner Moallim called on Somalis to prepare for war against Ethiopians.
His remarks highlight the growing hostility, referring to Ethiopia as Somalia’s “only enemy” and calling for citizens to prepare for war to expel them.
This escalation coincides with the arrival of Egyptian military planes in Mogadishu, suggesting potential military cooperation between Somalia and Egypt, which could be perceived as a counterbalance to Ethiopian influence in the region.
The strategic alignment with Egypt, especially amid regional tensions, could be contributing to these heightened sentiments.
