The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) held discussions with representatives and officials of various donor agencies.
Senior SODMA officials held a meeting with the donors at the agency’s offices in Mogadishu on Monday.
The officials were from donor agencies in Islamic nations around the world. A number of them represented the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Officials from the National Food Emergency Committee were present at the meeting too.
They discussed issues such as coordinating humanitarian efforts for people affected by El Nino rains and the subsequent floods around Somalia.
A report on the General Situation of Flood Impact was also presented at the meeting.
