SODMA Receives $500,000 Donation from Dahabshil for Terror Attack Victims

Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) has received a donation of $500,000 from Dahabshil for victims of the October 29 terror attack in Mogadishu.

Dahabshil delivered a cheque for that amount to SODMA on Sunday, November 6.

The funds are for victims of the terror attack that left over 110 people dead and more than 300 injured when Al-Shabaab militants targeted the offices of the Ministry of Education.

The federal government has already donated $1 million to the victims.

Other private organizations such as Hormuud, Somalia’s largest telecom company, have also shown up with financial donations.

Dahabshil is the largest money transfer company in the East African nation.
