In a significant humanitarian effort, Mahamuud Moalim, the head of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), has dispatched 11 trucks loaded with essential aid to El Ali Ahmed and Al Kowsar in Middle Shabelle.
This initiative comes in the wake of a recent attack by Al-Shabaab, which has left many families displaced and in urgent need of assistance.
The aid convoy includes critical supplies such as food, medicine, and tents, aimed at providing immediate relief to approximately 15,000 displaced families.
This effort underscores the government’s commitment to supporting communities affected by conflict and instability.
Moalim has also pledged to continue delivering aid to other liberated areas, emphasizing the importance of sustained support for regions recovering from the impact of Al-Shabaab’s activities.
This move is part of broader efforts to stabilize and rebuild areas that have been freed from the grip of the militant group, ensuring that affected populations receive the necessary resources to rebuild their lives.
