The Commissioner of Somalia’s National Disaster Management Agency (SODMA), Mahamuud Moallim, and Emmanuel Nkurunziza, the Director-General of the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD), have signed a cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Commissioner Moallim and Director-General Nkurunziza signed the agreement in Mogadishu on Friday.
The MoU seeks to enhance collaboration in disaster management.
This agreement focuses on strengthening early warning systems and anticipatory disaster management approaches.
The objective is to improve preparedness and response capabilities in Somalia, helping mitigate the impacts of natural disasters through more effective and timely interventions.
