The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) has warned Somalis in five regions to watch out for possible flooding in the next seven days.
SODMA issued the warning on Thursday.
The warning is for residents of Gedo, Middle Jubba, and Bay regions.
It also includes those in Lower Jubba and Lower Shabelle.
As per the SODMA warning, the flash floods could leave a trail of destruction when they occur in the next seven days.
SODMA stated that the situation will be worsened by rising water levels from the heavy rainfall expected in these regions.
