More than 13,000 families will benefit from the Ramadan feeding program that the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) runs.
The families selected to benefit from this program are mostly from Mogadishu and Lower Shabelle.
SODMA worked with local agencies to identify the deserving families in the two regions. In Mogadishu, they are from Hamar-Jajab district.
The Lower Shabelle families are from Garasbaley.
While receiving the food aid, representatives of the recipient families expressed gratitude to SODMA and other stakeholders for remembering their plight.
