A soldier with the Somali National Army (SNA) lost his life in a blast in the Deynile district in Mogadishu.
The incident took place on Wednesday, June 1.
Three other people were injured in the incident that has left the residents shocked.
According to security sources, the soldier was killed when an improvised explosive device (IED) blasted through the Deynile neighborhood on Wednesday morning.
The soldier was among others who were in a vehicle transporting SNA troops.
The vehicle was traveling between Deynile and Sii-Sii intersection.
Afterward, government troops showed up at the scene to secure it pending investigations into the deadly blast.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
